Vacuum fabric sofas regularly with an upholstery attachment using low suction.
Use protective arm caps where possible as this is the area most likely to show soiling. Arm caps produced from upholstery fabric should preferably be lined to minimise wear.
If your home is empty during the day it is recommended that you draw curtains blinds to reduce direct sunlight on you sofa for prolonged periods of time. Sunlight WILL fade fabrics but this can be dramatically reduced by avoiding unnecessary exposure.
Organise an annual professional clean by an upholstery cleaner to maintain your sofa's condition.
